MadCatz creates third party video game hardware controllers for leading console manufacturers, combining superior styling with rigorous craftsmanship.
THE ISSUES
With the launch of their new web site, MadCatz wanted to create a series of interactive demos to describe the features of their new line of next generation video game console controllers.
DITHERDOG'S SOLUTION
In order to create these demos for each of the products in a cost-effective way, we utilized existing CAD models of their controllers (used to actually manufacture the products) and exported them into Macromedia Flash. From their we optimized rendering styles and programmed interactive clickable areas and animations to communicate the features in a fun and interactive way, instead of a passive anatomy drawing.
